A Rapid Rail Transit System is the journey from Anand Vihar(Delhi) to Begumpul (Merrut) .The Officer of nodel departments have surveyed the route from Delhi to Merrut, where an elevated railway track will be line up on this route. The length of this route is 67kms.The tender of this route is given to DIMTS (Delhi Integrated Multimodel Transport System) by the NCR Planning Board.In this RRTS project,there would be stations at intervals of 4-5km.A underground track has been planned between Anand Vihar and Dabur,to avoid the Metro project.
According to M C Gaur (town planner of GDA),”high speed train stoppages proposed . On that stoppages, no metro station will be made .” RRTS and Metro stations route earn plenty revenue through passenger traffic.
According to R K Arora (MD of Supertech Group says) ,In the NCR,The RRTS will add a new dimension to Ghaziabad,Merrut in the transport system.”
The project has been designed in a manner.The RRTS would run underground from Anand Vihar to Dabur afterthat the journey to Merrut upon elevated track.The maimum speed of the high speed train is upto 150km per hour and the distance between Delhi and Merrut would to covered in 45minutes.According to Plan,two passenger trains and an express train will from side to side either junctions.
The NCR Planning Board has planned three townships along the RRTS route,from Delhi to Merrut – one between Muradnagar to Modi Nagar,second from Modi Nagar to Mohiuddinpur and the third in Merrut Development Authority zone. Every township developed onarround 1000 acres.
The RRTS project will be completed upto 2017 alongwith existing road .Passenger facilities such like feeder- bus service, parking areas at Mohan Nagar from the Metro to the RRTS will be included in DPR(DETAILED PROJECT REPORT).
